Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite’s Character Roster Leaked?!

On the NeoGAF forums, Ryce had previously proved himself to be an insider, as he already talked about the game in November before it was officially announced in December at the PlayStation Experience. This time, he pulled the roster out of his bag, but there are some notable disappearances – we took the list from Gematsu:

Capcom

  • Arthur
  • Chris
  • Chun-Li
  • Dante
  • Firebrand
  • Jedah
  • Monster Hunter
  • Morrigan
  • Nemesis
  • Ryu
  • Spencer
  • Strider Hiryu
  • X
  • Unknown character (Ryce guesses it’s someone like Frank West)

Marvel

  • Ant-Man
  • Captain America
  • Captain Marvel
  • Doctor Strange
  • Gamora
  • Hawkeye
  • Hulk
  • Iron Man
  • Nova
  • Rocket / Groot (Ryces says the character was named to him in this way, and that he’s not sure if it’s just Rocket Raccoon with Groot assists or a redesigned character actually called Rocket / Groot)
  • Spider-Man
  • Thanos
  • Thor
  • Ultron

Downloadable Content

  • Six additional characters planned for the first season, including the already confirmed Sigma, and Venom.

Where are the X-Men? It seems like Disney/Marvel’s focus on the Cinematic Universe will make them disappear after Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and it’s unlikely that the 28-character launch roster would expand with them in the form of a DLC.

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite is out on September 19 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
