E3 statistics, in short.
Let’s start with the trailer-related leaderboard. YouTube published a chart with the most viewed E3 trailers. This list is headed by Star Wars: Battlefront II, followed by Assassin’s Creed: Origins and FIFA 18. Two out of three podium places are for Electronic Arts. The numbers are totaled up throughout all related videos, though. If we just look at one certain video per each game, Battlefront II with its 9+ million views still wins, followed by Super Mario Odyssey, close to 6 million.
GamesIndustry reports that 17 million Facebook users have talked about E3 since June 9, making over 41 million posts, likes, and comments. The most discussed event was Sony’s, followed by Microsoft and Electronic Arts. Games-wise, still Battlefront II is in the lead, followed by the new FIFA and Assassin’s Creed title.
So, Electronic Arts has „won” this year, even though their conference was mostly awful.
