God Of War’s Director Loves Sony

Cory Barlog is in a great relationship with Sony.

Barlog, who was the lead animator for the first and director for the second God of War, respectively, told the following to Glixel:

„What we find intriguing to make is often a reflection of what’s happening out in the world. It’s a balance of trying to get publishers on board and to think that it’s awesome and something they want. That’s why I love Sony. I’ve never worked anywhere quite like this and the way that they say how creative is in charge. They are probably the best partners I’ve ever worked with. They get involved – all the parts that I don’t understand. I am the worst person with our finances – my wife takes care of all of that stuff because I’m an idiot. I would not presume to understand that stuff on the business side. I think it’s fantastic that Sony loves what we do. They want us to make great experiences. They give us the leeway to take some risks.”

We don’t have much else to add to his comments, just hope that the next God of War (out in possibly the first half of 2018) will be outstanding…

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
