Paradox Acquires Triumph Studios

The developers of Overlord and Age of Wonders is under the wings of Paradox now.

Triumph Studios was founded in 1997 by Lennart Sas and Arno van Wingerden, who are still with the team. Moving under Paradox’ ownership will be unnoticeable, as all the currently developed projects can continue, and the management will also not be seeing changes. From now on, all Triumph games will be published by Paradox Interactive.

The Dutch developers are now in good hands, although Paradox has been recently receiving some negative attention due to them raising prices of their games on Steam; they have ways to turn the situation around.

From a PlayStation aspect, we only saw Overlord (first game, Raising Hell, and second game) on Sony’s platforms, so you may not be familiar with the team’s work.

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
