PlayStation 4 5.00 Firmware: A Long Awaited Function Coming?

In a few weeks, the new firmware‘s beta testing will launch outside of Japan, too, but there are already rumors about what it would bring.

Eusgamer reports that these things would be included with the new system software update:

  1. Arrival of PS One Classics
  2. The ability to remove or hide game demos and trials from library
  3. Store wishlist (similar to Steam)
  4. Increase the maximum number of players in a PSN party
  5. The ability to change PSN ID

Yes, that last one is the most surprising. PlayStation Network users have requested the ID change for years, and if the rumors are true, the 5.00 firmware will allow us to finally change it. Let’s just hope that the Japanese company will indeed include this function to make us update as soon as possible when that firmware comes by.
