NVidia And Remedy Teamed Up: The Goal Is Better Facial Animations [VIDEO]

The developers of Max Payne 1-2 and Quantum Break teamed up with NVidia.

Ars Technica reports that during SIGGRAPH 2017, NVidia presented their teamwork with Remedy, and their aim is to streamline production-level facial performance capture using deep convolutional neural networks.

Although the technology does seem to be limited, they seem to have managed to automate the process to be precise and good enough to not require as much manual labor with them than before. NVidia and Remedy say that their work is good enough to be able to be used in a future game.

…is it going to be P7, which is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC?
