PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds: The Banhammer Strikes Again!

While Bluehole‘s game has more players than before, cheaters are getting booted regardless.

The currently PC-exclusive (which is going to be available on the Xbox One as well shortly) game uses the BattlEye anti-cheat system, whose Twitter account revealed that they have gotten rid of 322 thousand cheaters, especially if you consider that last month, they only banned half of that amount. BattlEye also wrote on Twitter that they ban 6-13 thousand people every day, with October 12 reaching twenty thousand. Most cheaters are from China according to the post.

Still, China and South Korea should not be ignored: according to SteamSpy, the playerbase’s roughly half are from these two countries, although the Communist country has 42% of the share altogether. On SteamCharts, we found that Bluehole’s game had 2.279.084 concurrent players as an all-time high peak, which is simply brutal!

However, there’s a rival game, Fortnite: Battle Royale. This free-to-play game launched simultaneously on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC!
