Remedy’s Next Game Could Be Online Multiplayer Oriented!

The developers of Max Payne 1-2, Alan Wake, and Quantum Break might follow Destiny’s approach.

The project, which is currently called P7 (this is the team’s seventh game), doesn’t have a lot of public information at the moment. All we know so far is that it will be a „cinematic third-person action game set in a new Remedy-created universe, featuring an intriguing story and the deepest game mechanics yet in a Remedy game.” We can now add a job listing, which goes a step further than before.

„Are you constantly thinking about intriguing ways to excite your players and keep them invested in your game’s world? Are you obsessed with lore and a desire to create rich content that communities will devour? Do you design challenge systems that are so moreish your players plan their week around them? Have you already designed the next Battle Royale? Are you always among the first to find Xûr?”

A reference to Destiny aside, it feels like a game that will either have online multiplayer or that it would be online-only. The Finnish team previously said that they want to have big replayability for their game, and if they go down the Destiny route, they might have just that…

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
