PlayStation Experience 2017 – Dreams Looks Better Than Ever [VIDEO]

Media Molecule’s game will slowly impress the doubters, too.

The PlayStation 4-exclusive game was announced at the PlayStation Meeting… back in 2013, the same time as the PlayStation 4 got confirmed. Since then, we’re now halfway through the generation, and even the updated consoles, the PlayStation 4 Pro and the Xbox One X have hit the shelves as well. Thankfully, the developers revealed a few details at the PlayStation Experience about the long-awaited project.

The game will have a single player campaign which will tie together three different portions of the game. There’s going to be a sci-fi themed platformer, a noir point-and-click, and an adventure segment with a teddy bear and a fox. The frame of the plot is Art, whose dreams are… well, part of Dreams!

Creation-wise, the freedom of creation seems to be way bigger than in LittleBigPlanet, and we can already say that the developers used the same tools during the demo that the retail game will also have. There’s also a possibility to import our unique sounds, and creating content will earn you points, plus you might end up collaborating with others who are in the similar style to yours.

There’s no lack of ambition here, but there’s a lack of a release date: all we know is that Dreams will arrive in 2018, and the PlayStation VR-support will likely not be included at launch. There will be a beta, too.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
