The father of Shadow of the Colossus or The Last Guardian updates the website of his studio with a curious image.

The genDESIGN website, a studio captained by the iconic creator Fumito Ueda, has recently been updated with a message of New Year’s greeting accompanied by a curious image that could well be anticipating the next video game by the father of games like ICO, Shadow of the Colossus or The Last Guardian. “Happy 2018! May this year be happy and fruitful” can be read on the website. If we drag the navigation bar down, we can see a long image of some birds and that ends with a pale skinned creature lying on the ground and accompanied by a resplendent girl that may well be the same one that appears on the studio logo.

It is still early to determine exactly if it is indeed the first image of the video game or not, and probably have to wait until fairs of the caliber of E3 to know more about it. All in all, Ueda has already spoken on numerous occasions about his future plans. Almost a year ago the Japanese creative showed his interest in hiring new staff and playing with innovative ideas. Search, also, a game with more open environments and similar to those of Shadow of the Colossus and a shorter development period than The Last Guardian, which lasted between generations to finally appear on the PS4.
