Prince Of Persia’s Creator Would Revive The Franchise!

Jordan Mechner doesn’t want to bury that prince. In fact, he wants to revive him!

Chrissy Teigen, a model, asked Mechner on Twitter about the franchise, which is currently held by Ubisoft. The first Prince of Persia game launched in 1989, and it was programmed by Mechner, and the last one launched in 2010 (The Forgotten Sands – what a fitting title…). Mechner responded:

„Chrissy, I know a few other people who feel the same way. We’re doing our best to make it happen!” Which means he wants to bring the series back. He has a few ideas, but the question is: is Ubisoft (who brought the name back in 2001, when they acquired the IP) willing to accept Mechner’s plans?

We’re saying this because the publisher seems to be more focused on Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry than Prince of Persia. (They also have The Crew 2 as well, but that’s another story.) They might not want to risk a Prince of Persia flop.

We’d be curious to see a new game, though.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
