Tony Hawk: No Relationship With Remaster-Planning Activision Anymore!

The veteran skateboarder asked the players to not complain to him about problems. Meanwhile, the publisher is preparing something…

Tony Hawk was previously one of the (extreme) sports characters of Activision, and the skateboarding games with his name (mostly developed by the now-defunct Neversoft) were successful. However, their contract ended in 2015, which is why the publisher quickly asked Robomodo (which also disappeared since then…) to put together Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, which was… simply put, terrible. (And it even was released in an unfinished format, too.)

„To anyone asking me to “remaster” old games, or complaining about THPS servers being down: Activision owns the THPS license, but I am no longer working with them. If I had the skills/authority to reboot servers or code games for newer systems on my own, I would be happy to…,” Hawk said on Twitter. He would do something, but he can’t.

Activision’s Form 10K financial document has a sentence that caught our eye: „We expect to release […]remastered versions of titles from our library of IP […] during 2018.” Hold on! It looks like the Spyro trilogy-rumor wasn’t a fluke after all!

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
