David Jaffe: After His Flopping Game, His Studio Is Closing Down, Too!

David Jaffe (Twisted Metal, God of War) ran into trouble after Drawn to Death failed. He had some ideas, though.

Jaffe, whose next, canceled game’s concept was mentioned on our site before, wrote the following on Twitter: „Any So[uth] Cal[ifornian] gamers interested in owning some gaming history? Sadly we are shutting down our Bartlet Jones offices, and there are some great props that we’re trying to unload to folks who are into such things. Ex: Sweet Tooth’s machete we used in TM2012 movies; Sweet Chick’s mask, etc.”

Jaffe was the co-founder of The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency in 2013. „Ideally it would go to a charity like Child’s Play to auction off, but the time to set up shipping of such odd shaped and heavy items is something we just don’t have time to take on,” he added. He also mentioned Extra Life as another option, but he brought up the shipping difficulties.

Jaffe’s studio had only one game released: Drawn to Death on PlayStation 4 was released last April, and it wasn’t successful – it already flopped. Is this how the past’s glory disappears? Maybe. Jaffe also revealed that the team was working on an Iron Man game for the PlayStation VR! Huh…

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
