Half-Life 2: Here’s How It Would Look In Unreal Engine 4 [VIDEO]

The fans have not forgotten about Gordon Freeman.

Although it’s been over ten years (!) since the launch of Half-Life 2: Episode 2, going through a console generation change in the process, Valve still hasn’t released nor the third episode, neither Half-Life 3. A few fans have had enough, and others thought they should bring over the old games to newer technology – in this case, porting from Source to Unreal Engine 4.

Although Vergil’s remake is far from complete, we can say that it could be successful (unless Valve decides to send a cease & desist order, which could happen…), as most graphical assets were brought over from Valve‘s Source engine, with decent visuals.

You can talk with the developer on Discord here. We only have two things that we’d like to bring up: there’s way too much motion blur, and the video’s frame rate is terribly low…

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
