Activision “Recognizes” that Battle Royale is an Important Game Mode

Bobby Kotick had this revolutionary idea on a meeting…

The battle royale is a phenomenon that does not escape the eyes of the big publishers. Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick has acknowledged that Fortnite is now a major competition.

Although the results of Activision are good, with the monthly average of Call of Duty users going up, World of Warcraft shows a good performance and Overwatch continues to grow, Kotick recognizes that Fortnite and PUBG can not be ignored: “This new form of competition goes to be around the community, for most new licenses it will be an important way of playing. ”

Activision has suggested that their interest could be in mobiles, rather than in consoles and PCs, and explain that “when we see people innovate in an interesting way, we are quick to imagine how to capture inspiration, as a company, in our DNA and culture, we see what attracts the public, and we are good at inspiring ourselves in that. ”

A few weeks ago there were rumors of Call of Duty: Black Ops III with battle royale mode that could also be sold independently.
