Rainbow Six: Siege – Details about the new season, dynamic weather is coming?

Another two new operator joins Team Rainbow, we’ll get a map rework and some small, some big gameplay-related changes.

Ubisoft announced Rainbow Six: Siege‘s new season yesterday, named Grim Sky. The first teaser image already arrived and based on that we can clearly see that one of the operators will be using something similar to a blowtorch. There were already talks and leaks about it previously, so we can safely assume he will be the hard breacher attacker who will open up reinforced walls. Finally, players will have the choice to pick someone else, not just Thermite or Hibana.

We don’t know much about the other operator, but it was confirmed that what he has is, in fact, is a shield. Some people assume that it could be used to cover up partially destroyed walls.

As for the map, Hereford Base is going to make a return to ranked. The rework of the map was promised for this season, after all. It’s one of the most iconic Siege maps, it was in the closed beta too, so seeing it again and not just in casual will surely make a lot of players happy.

Aside from these, the weapon sight misalignment fix along with the new recoil system finally gets implemented and console players will be able to use dynamic resolution scaling too (presumably on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X). But there’s something else…

There’s a possibility that Siege will get a dynamic weather system to, at least based on my speculation which you can read on Reddit (I play Siege basically daily since the closed beta).

Grim Sky‘s full reveal will be between August 17 and August 19 and it will release possible a month from now.
