Cross-Play: Sony Doesn’t Listen To Gamers, Says Xbox Boss!

Mike Ybarra (corporate vice president of Xbox) thinks that Sony still doesn’t listen to the gamers, who would likely appreciate if there’s cross-play between the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One (as well as the Nintendo Switch).

Ybarra wrote the following on Twitter: „[Sony] still isn’t listening to gamers. All games should be cross play and progression with the right input flexibility and gamer options. We run Windows and Console. Larger gaming audience who wants to play together. Gaming is diverse; if you only serve to bring joy to a part of an audience, then you are behind in many, many ways.”

Ybarra has responded to last week’s Sony comments about cross-play (we discussed it – it’s about how „PlayStation is the best place to play”), which means the situation is still the same. We have Sony on one side, and the other side has BOTH Microsoft and Nintendo.

Will the PlayStation 5 (which already has a codename – we wrote about it a few days ago) change this approach or not?

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
