Samurai Shodown Is Making A Return! [VIDEO]

The franchise, which is known as Samurai Spirits in the East, is getting revived after over ten years of silence – SNK announced this game!

Previously, we wrote that SNK planned to announce a brand new game, which they did on their website as well. We thus learned that Samurai Shodown is heading to the PlayStation 4. It’s a classic weapon fighting game set in feudal Japan!

Let’s see the press release: „Since its birth in 1993, the Samurai Shodown series has been known as the premier weapon based versus fighting games, and was essential in cultivating the weapon-based fighting game genre. As the first new release in the series in more than ten years, Samurai Shodown is aiming to yet again push boundaries and deliver some severe samurai action!

Developed using Unreal Engine 4 and utilising a unique brushstroke graphical style to match the Japanese roots of the series, Haohmaru, Nakoruru, Galford and a whole cast of other favourite characters will battle once again for victory! Stay tuned for more news about Samurai Shodown as we lead up to release in 2019!”
