Tekken 7 Reaches A Significant Sales Milestone!

Katsuhiro Harada, the father of Tekken (as well as 7’s director), announced the fresh sales results on Twitter.

„„Celebration illustration”. TEKKEN7 had achieved Over 3million sales before one year passed from release, but there was no timing to upload this (That’s why there is no Anna, Lei…). We recorded over 47million copies sales for the series. Thanks for supporting us! #TEKKEN,” Harada wrote.

Three million sales don’t look that much, especially if we compare it to Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII, which pulled at least 8 million sales over the launch weekend (and we counted that figure from the generated revenue), but in the fighting game genre, the result is respectable nevertheless. Tekken 7 continues to expand, which is why Harada mentioned Anna and Lei, who both joined the roster via DLC.

Congratulations – Tekken 3 and Tekken 5 was played a lot on our PS1 and PS2 in the past… but we have to ask one more thing: where is Tekken X Street Fighter?!

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
