Legal Issues End Regarding Red Dead Redemption 2 Leaks! A Battle Royale Mode Is Coming?!

After TrustedReviews has leaked information from an allegedly confidential, corporate document regarding Red Dead Redemption 2, Take-Two, RDR2’s dev Rockstar’s owner, took the issue towards the court, but the case is now closed.

The original article, which talked about a currently officially non-existing battle royale mode as well, was replaced by an apology: „On February 6, 2018, we published an article that was sourced from a confidential corporate document. We should have known this information was confidential and should not have published it. We unreservedly apologise to Take-Two Games, and we have undertaken not to repeat such actions again. We have also agreed to donate over £1 million to charities chosen by Take-Two Games.”

Variety adds that there was more than an apology behind the scenes. TI Media, the owner of TrustedReviews and Take-Two, have gone for a „settlement” that the former will donate the money to the American Indian College Fund, the American Prairie Reserve, and the First Nations Development Institute.

In short, do not mess around with Take-Two when it comes to leaking insider information, or you might find yourself in court. Still, a battle royale mode sounds interesting… is it going to be part of Red Dead Online?!
