The Halo TV series already has actors for Cortana and other key characters

Some of these characters will arrive for the first time in this science fiction universe in a Halo TV series.

Showtime has recently announced the distribution of new actors and actresses for some of the key characters in their new Halo TV series, which still has no release date. Among them, we find both familiar faces and totally new ones.

Thus, Natascha McElhone (Californication) will play both the well-known AI Cortana and her creator, Dr Catherine Halsey, also the mother of the Spartan program. It could not be otherwise, of course, since in the Halo universe, Cortana was created by replicating Halsey herself.

Among the new characters is Admiral Margaret Prangosky, head of ONI; played by Shabana Azmi (Fire). We will also see Bentley Kalu (Avengers: Age of Ultron) in the role of Spartan Vannak-134 and Natasha Culzac (who also works on The Witcher’s Netflix series) as the bloody killing machine Spartan Riz-028. Finally, Kate Kennedy (Catastrophe) will be the brave and lethal Spartan Kai-125.

A few months ago the signing of Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief in the Halo series was already reported. For now, no more information has been offered on when production will begin, although, and after these last movements, everything indicates that its beginning is imminent.
