[TGS 2019] Nioh 2 Will Get An Open Beta [VIDEO]

As with the first Nioh, the sequel will also allow us to play it before it properly launches, Nioh 2 so by this small teaser, we’ll be capable of deciding whether we want the game developed by Team Ninja or not.

The first Nioh came out over a decade after the announcement, but it won’t happen again. However, a few deaths will, because we will not get an easy difficulty level in Nioh 2. „The game is a so-called Masocore game, so we want the difficulty to be the same for everyone, even if you may be able to see people beat the bosses on YouTube and that sort of stuff. Yet we do have things to help out players, for example, the Benevolent Graves and three-player multiplayer, and we do think those will be a big helping hand for people to beat the game,” Fumihiko Yasuda, the game’s producer, said at a closed-doors Sony Interactive Entertainment event at the Tokyo Game Show. So they say it won’t get an easy mode, but they give us options to make the game easier, so it will be easier than the predecessor.

On Twitter, we read that Koei Tecmo (the publisher) and Team Ninja will give Nioh 2 an open beta between November 1 and November 10. We can download it for free from the PlayStation Store. Get ready to die a few times. Make that a few hundred.

A few things to explain regarding the videos below. The first one has three-player multiplayer between 12:31 and 28:03, followed by the Honnouji Stage Super Play from 32:10 to 42:58. The second video contains gameplay of Nioh 2 between 2:55:56 and 3:13:37. Nioh 2, as we wrote a few days ago, will launch in early 2020 on PlayStation 4.
