SteamDolls: Order of Chaos: Steampunk Metroidvania With The Voice Of Snake [VIDEO]

Top Hat Studios has picked up an exciting project by The Shady Gentlemen (based in France and Belgium), which could be an excellent game if it gets more attention.

The publisher wants to release a SteamDolls: Order of Chaos in 2021, but The Shady Gentlemen (shortened to TSG onwards) wants some money for it, as they already have a Kickstarter campaign that will launch shortly. We don’t know when. Until then, there is a concept demo on Steam that was released in November.

„SteamDolls is a steampunk-inspired Metroidvania game with a grimy touch of brutality. Blast your way to your objective or stick to the shadows and perform violent assassinations on unsuspecting guards as you struggle with the haunting apparitions of a mesmerizing witch trying to reveal the truth about a conspiracy that could shake the very foundation of the world. Action, exploration, stealth, and blood. Inspired by games like Castlevania and Hollow Knight. Nourished by the fury of Dead Cells and the gloom of Bloodborne. Lose yourself in a labyrinthine city, full of secrets and madness.

[…]David Hayter (who voiced Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid) is the voice of The Whisper, a cunning thief and anarchist. [There will be] hand-drawn cutscenes for the narrative parts. You will encounter a flamboyant cast as you traverse the game, such as a goddess of nature, a rich immortal who wants to die, or a female gunslinger with deadly aim. From the standard hired henchman who will be easily dispatched to the dangerous and disgusting mutated monster by a bio-mechanical virus, you have all kind of adversaries and deformed bosses in SteamDolls,” the game’s Steam page reads.

SteamDolls: Order of Chaos launches sometime in 2021 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. But why does The Whisper look like Deathstroke…? TSG has some explaining to do…
