Hitman 3 will end the new Agent 47 trilogy

IO Interactive claims that this third instalment will be “the end of the journey.”

The most popular IO Interactive assassin is back, and he promises to come looking better than ever. Hitman 3 was announced during the PlayStation 5 launch event setting its expected release next year. This game will mark the third instalment of the reboot that IO Interactive started in 2016 and will end Agent 47’s journey.

This has been stated by IO Interactive itself in a video published on Hitman’s official YouTube channel. Its developers promise to push the experience to the limit and surprise players by “powering the systems” as far as the studio has been able to endure. The character progression system will be linked to each weapon you use, thus unlocking the masters based on their use.

Hitman 3 “will incorporate elements that fans have been asking for since Hitman 1,” says IO Interactive. The developer already told us a few days ago that this instalment would have a darker tone than the previous ones. They were also very excited to be the first game to be self-published by themselves.

Agent 47’s journey will come to an end with Hitman 3, but it won’t be until January 2021 when IO Interactive’s most famous assassin continues his mission on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC. Until then, do not miss the analysis of Hitman 2, his previous adventure, which lays the foundations that we will see in the new game.
