F1 2020 – Huge Overtake Over The Last of Us 2 in UK

The Codemasters video game, F1 2020 had the best premiere in the saga since 2017, improving the numbers of F1 2019 by 22%, taking 1st place!

Codemasters marked their best lap in three years with the launch of F1 2020 in the UK thus achieving number one in the British sales ranking. Thus ends the domain during the last weeks of The Last of Us Part 2, which also could not retain second place due to the push of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and a further drop in demand of up to 48% compared to the period previous.

Predictably driven to debut in parallel to the return of car racing, F1 2020 had the best series premiere since 2017, improving purchases by F1 2019 by up to 22% at its launch last year. Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing In Disguise, which also landed in British stores on July 10, was not very successful and ranked 32nd.

In other headlines we also highlight Marvel’s Iron-Man VR , which went from second to ninth place this week after suffering a 75% drop but showing greater strength than the great PlayStation VR exclusive in 2019, Blood and Truth . On the promotion side, it is Nintendo who once again stars in the good news, sneaking Mario Kart 8: Deluxe as the fourth best-selling game after increasing its demand by 50% due to a greater number of Nintendo Switch in stores.

Here are the top-10 best-selling games in full:

  • F1 2020 (Codemasters)
  • Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Nintendo)
  • The Last of Us: Part II (Sony)
  • Mario Kart 8: Deluxe (Nintendo)
