The Coalition Will Talk About Gears 5 On The Xbox Series X

Now on Thursday, The Coalition team will talk about the Gears 5 Xbox Series X performance as part of Inside Unreal Livestream.

Microsoft’s first-party studio, The Coalition, will talk about Gears Tactics, Gears 5 and Microsoft’s upcoming next-gen console as part of Inside Unreal’s Livestream program.

Want another reason for choosing the Xbox Series X? Here’s Gears 5. The game will feature a free Xbox Series X upgrade for Gears 5 owners, significantly improving the game’s looks, making loading times extremely fast, and shooting at frame rates above 100 FPS.

100 FPS! We’re talking numbers over 100 FPS, all with the improved visuals and faster loading, in fact, the game, optimized for the new generation, won’t just look better than before: you’ll be using the Ultra (!) setup of the current PC version, but it will also shoot beyond that as the textures will have a higher resolution, the resolution of the volumetric fog will be also higher, and the particle number will be 50% higher than the highest setting allowed as the Ultra PC setting!

In addition, XSX version Gears 5 will activate previously disabled experimental features such as self-shadow lighting on plants and grass or contact shadow. (Whatever it is.)

Gears 5 is now available for PC and Xbox One, though of course it’s nowhere near as great as the next-generation version will be according to the developer…
