All three episodes of ILMxLAB’s VR experience, Vader Immortal, will be released simultaneously, which has now been given a trailer.

 

They promised a State of Play with news related to PlayStation VR, and one of the prominent announcements for PS4 virtual reality had its own name: Star Wars Vader Immortal, the action game starring the Sith Lord who after his passage through Oculus, will premiere on Sony’s device.

ILMxLAB worked with Black Shamrock studio on this PS VR adaptation. We previously knew that this title would arrive on PS VR during the summer, but it was until now that a specific release date was announced. It will be next August 25 that owners of Sony virtual reality glasses will be able to enjoy this experience developed by ILMxLAB and, as part of the announcement, a new trailer has been presented that allows us to see in action a game in which the power of the Force is with us, with which we can throw our enemies into the air among other tricks.

 

 

This experience originally published as an Oculus Quest exclusive consists of 3 episodes, which will be available on the same date on PS4. “Under normal circumstances, development can be challenging and difficult, add a pandemic, and having to be confined at home and it adds another nuance to the challenge,” said ILMxLAB producer Harvey Whitney on the Playstation blog, noting that the studio Black Shamrock is also responsible for this new adaptation of the experience.

An interesting detail of Vader Immortal is that it allows us to use various combat styles, alternating between one lightsaber, two simultaneous ones, or sabers with a more original design. During our adventures through this science fiction/fantasy universe we will fight against Jedi, droids and even monstrous creatures, like the Rancor from Return of the Jedi.

Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series was the Lucasfilm series’ first foray into the virtual reality universe, recently the first details of Tales From the Galaxy’s Edge were presented, a new adventure also developed by ILMxLAB that will arrive this year as exclusive to Oculus Quest.
