A Surprise Has Appeared For Nintendo Fans On Amazon

Amazon U.K. listed The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for Nintendo Switch. Would the 2011 Nintendo Wii title come to Switch?

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword first appeared on the Wii in November 2011. The title built for motion detection required a Wii Remote and Nunchuck, plus the Wii MotionPlus add-on.

Back in November 2018, a Nintendo spokesman told Eurogamer: “At this time we have no plans to release The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword on Nintendo Switch”

It is suspicious though that on Amazon U.K. when listing, a date will also appear with the release date: “January 1, 2030.” You can see this by looking for it within “All Departments” in the “PC & Video Games” area, but it doesn’t appear at all if you don’t look at it in that specified department.

Nintendo has not yet announced officially a Nintendo Switch version of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
