Ghost of Tsushima studio is looking for a writer who knows feudal Japan and stokes the desire for a sequel

Sucker Punch wants a knowledgeable worker of the time to work on “future projects”

Ghost of Tsushima has been a huge success for Sucker Punch. After debuting in July, the studio’s samurai adventure became the top-selling new IP at its premiere in PlayStation history and has been a household name on subsequent sales charts. This very October we received the arrival of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, a cooperative multiplayer mode that pleasantly expands the experience of the game for free, although it seems that it is not the last thing that awaits us from this adventure.

According to IGN, the Washington studio has opened a new job offer in search of a narrative writer for the studio. But the important thing is not the position itself, but its description. Among the requirements, Sucker Punch asks people ” with knowledge of the feudal history of Japan “, and who have “the desire to write stories set in feudal Japan.”

Also, the job offer mentions at the beginning that the position is to “create narrative content in our future projects .” With all this in hand, it is impossible not to think about the possibility that Sucker Punch wants to make a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima. Although it is also possible that the studio is working on some content and expansion, or even a large spin-off in the style of Uncharted: The Forbidden Legacy and Spider-Man Miles Morales.

At the moment, there is nothing confirmed about the future projects of Sucker Punch, but if this job offer is proof of anything, it is that feudal Japan will continue to be very present in its developments. Along with Legends mode, Ghost of Tsushima received an update this month that allows you to pet the dogs in the game and make them allies. Likewise, the performance of the game on PS5 has been confirmed through backward compatibility. But, if you have not yet dared to try it, here is our analysis of Ghost of Tsushima.
