The creators of Vampyr and Life is Strange are working on up to six different new video games

Dontnod Entertainment continues its expansion with a new studio in Montreal and will launch Twin Mirror shortly.

The developers at Dontnod Entertainment have a lot of work ahead of them. According to Oskar Guilbert, CEO of the video game company, the studio currently has six projects in production. Of these, we do not know if all are announced, although it is assumed that the exciting and emotional investigation adventure Twin Mirror is included in this half dozen.

In order to carry out this tremendous amount of work, and maintain its goal of being a leadership position in the storytelling industry, Dontnod Entertainment has expanded with a new studio in Montreal, Canada. Guilbert explains in an interview with VentureBeat that it was important to settle in this territory since much of its community of players comes from North America. In addition, the executive adds, most of the stories of his video games are set in the region.

Returning to the six ongoing projects, not many details have been shared, although Guilbert hinted that we could see some surprise from Dontnod, possibly in the action role-playing games genre, as well as in the interactive fiction genre; Furthermore, a few months ago it was reported that they were collaborating again with Focus Home Interactive. “We don’t want to stick to the same thing every time,” he explained. “We seek to innovate. We are reinventing ourselves in terms of quality, mechanics and technology. Finding new ways to tell stories is something we place a lot of value on,” he added.

These words are reminiscent of the fate of Telltale, with which the French study is often compared. On this subject, Guilbert commented in his talk that they had learned a lot, the importance of not reducing the changes to the narrative section.

Dontnod Entertainment gained great international weight as a result of Life is Strange, which we received a continuation last year. The French team is also responsible for action adventures like Vampyr and Remember Me. They recently also launched in collaboration with Microsoft Tell Me Why.
