You Might Spend As Much As 175 Hours In Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt RED‘s head of quality assurance turns every stone around Night City, and he’s not done yet.

Łukasz Babiel has posted the following two images bellow on Twitter. It shows that he has selected the Nomad lifepath in Cyberpunk 2077, and at the time of taking the screenshot, he has already played 175 hours and 43 minutes. One hundred and seventy-five. Why? Babiel explained it: „[It’s not a completionist run,] just one of my ongoing slow-paced playthroughs on the hardest difficulty where I play more stealthy than usual, loot everything, use every feature the game has to offer – I take my time.”

The Polish developers published a blog post about a subject we have briefly mentioned. You can turn off copyrighted music in the game. How will it work? „[…] Cyberpunk 2077 will feature a beautiful, robust original score created by our in-house composers. Also, you will be able to listen to over 150 songs created by wonderful artists representing diverse genres and we are confident you will love the music played by the in-game radio stations and in clubs. Unfortunately, the world of copyright law is complicated and not all of these songs can be streamed or used in your video content.

The last thing we want is for you to run into any copyright issues. Because of this, we have created a dedicated feature for content creators. The “Disable Copyrighted Music” toggle, available in the game’s settings, will disable a small portion of in-game tracks, streaming of which could otherwise result in demonetization or takedowns of your videos or stream clips/VODs. Be sure to have this option enabled before you start streaming or recording your Cyberpunk 2077 content!

As mentioned above, using the “Disable Copyrighted Music” toggle should prevent you from experiencing any copyright issues. However, if you run into any problems of this nature despite having the toggle on, be sure to check with us at [email protected]. We will try our best to help you!”, CD Projekt RED wrote. Hey, they at least offer help if you get screwed over something you shouldn’t be. Other games offer such a toggle (Control by Remedy Entertainment and Fortnite by Epic Games, respectively), too.

Cyberpunk 2077 (unless it faces one more delay) will launch on December 10 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC. The PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series will play the PS4/X1 version until the next-gen patch comes next year.
