Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart: About The Planets And The Exploration [VIDEO]

Shortly, Ratchet & Clank’s newest game will be available, so it’s no wonder that Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac Games have cranked advertising to eleven.

„Our heroes will travel across a variety of planets in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart—a few you might remember, while others are entirely new. Thanks to the PlayStation 5 console’s ultra-fast SSD, you can traverse a variety of planets and their interdimensional counterparts near-instantly. These near-instant load times defy expectations by introducing dimensional variants of beloved classics that contain new twists and stories to tell. Speaking of twists, Zurkon Jr. has some stuff on his mind that he’s eager to share with you.

Strap in for a grand tour of some of the beautiful, alluring, and not deadly planets you’ll explore on your journey. Check out the electrifying off-the-wall nightlife of Nefarious City, or take a riveting Speetle ride through the exotic and acidic swamps of Outpost L51 on Sargasso —or perhaps the treacherous, off-the-rails excitement of Molonoth Gulch is more your speed? Whatever your needs, you might just find it here today at Zurkon Jr.’s Almost Launch Party!”, said Insomniac Games senior community manager Aaron Jason Espinoza on the PlayStation Blog.

Previously (back in June), they already mentioned how the game will make use of the DualSense controller: „The DualSense Controller of the PlayStation 5 is tailor-made for Ratchet & Clank weaponry. The amount of tactile feedback that you get when you’re using our weapons is it makes them feel way more powerful and also lets you know how the weapon is behaving. One of the examples of our weapons is The Enforcer. It’s like a double-barreled shotgun and it uses the adaptive triggers to give you tension. As you’re moving your finger down halfway, you can fire one barrel. If you pull it down, you can fire both barrels. But all along the way, you can feel the difference between the tension tightening up, and it just makes all of our weapons much more immersive and powerful feeling. Another thing we can’t wait for you to experience is 3D spatial audio. This is a fundamental difference between listening to a television set and going out into the middle of a forest. It brings you into these worlds in a way that you’ve never been able to do before.”

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is due out for PlayStation 5 on June 11. It’s not a PlayStation 5 CONSOLE-exclusive (one mishap listed the game as such, but Insomniac claims it’s not planned for PC).

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
