XDefiant will have factions to choose from, based on the titles The Division, Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.
Promised is a debt, and Ubisoft unveiled the new Tom Clancy universe game called XDefiant. It is a completely free FPS, where 2 teams of 6 players will fight in an arena. The title is held by Ubisoft San Francisco, with Mark Rubin at the helm, as executive producer.
Players will be able to choose one of 3 factions: the Outcasts and Cleaners from The Division 2, Echelon from Splinter Cell, and the Wolves from Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. Ubisoft confirmed the addition of new factions in the future, and each will come with its own set of abilities that the player can customize, including weapons, gadgets, and more.
So far, 2 game modes have been announced: Escort and Domination. The title will have quite a few maps available, rotating from time to time to increase the diversity of the games.
XDefiant will have a closed beta on August 5, and if you are interested in participating, you can enter your information on this site. There is no confirmed release date yet, as the developers will first seek the opinion of the players, to ensure that the title is in optimal condition from its first day.
