Wreckfest Coming to Nintendo Switch This Fall

Wreckfest is a spiritual successor to Flatout, an old destruction derby game made in the early 2000s, and now Wreckfest is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch

The game initially started up as a Kickstarter, which unfortunately failed back in the day, but successfully with Steam’s Early Access program. After that, the game went through some changes; it became a bit more console friendly to run on PS4 and Xbox One machines (even with those changes, the game does not run the best on those consoles) got a PC release.

Wreckest is an old school destruction derby game with multiple modes, tracks, and most importantly, destruction physics. So it is a little surprising the game is getting a Nintendo Switch release since the original console version was already a scaled-down version of the PC release.

Not much has been confirmed about the Nintendo Switch version other than it will feature customization, challenge mode, a career mode, and online multiplayer.

No exact release has been revealed for the port, but a quick thirty-second trailer has been released, including cuts of gameplay and the lyrics from Johnny Cash’s Gods Gonna Cut You Down.
