Evil Dead Cast Reunites With Bruce Campbell in Upcoming Video Game

The Evil Dead cast are reprising their roles alongside Bruce Campbell for Evil Dead: The Game

Evil Dead: The Game, from Boss Team Games and Sabre Interactive, is still on track for a 2022 release and is expected to include single-player and co-op gameplay, promising to be the definitive Evil Dead experience in gaming. Several characters from films and TV shows will be playable in the game, as well as four different versions of Ash Williams.

And yes, Bruce Campbell voices all the different versions of Ash, including Evil Ash. He will be joined by other stars from the franchise’s past.

Other playable characters confirmed so far include Ellen Sandweiss as Cheryl Williams and Richard De Manincor as Scotty from Evil Dead, and Marcus Gilbert as Arthur from Army of Darkness, as well as Ray Santiago as Pablo Simon Bolivar, and Dana DeLorenzo as Kelly Maxwell from Ash vs Evil Dead, and the demon Eligos from the Starz series. Henrietta from Evil Dead 2 and Evil Ash from Army of Darkness will also be in the game.

The team also announced new additions today, confirming that Betsy Boulanger will return as Linda from Evil Dead, along with Therese Tilly’s Shelly in “special appearances”. Presumably, this means that the actors will voice their original characters, and this means that all five main characters from Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead will be returning!

In the game, you work together as a team of four survivors, exploring, looting, crafting, controlling your fear and finding important artefacts to bridge the gap between worlds. Or take control of the powerful Kandarian demon to hunt down Ash and his friends, taking over Deadites, the environment and even the survivors as it attempts to consume their souls.

The game will be released in February 2022 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
