Chris Evans steals the show with his brief cameo in Don’t Look Up
Adam McKay’s latest film, Don’t Look Up, is currently streaming on Netflix, and for many viewers, Chris Evans’ unexpected cameo stands out as one of the best moments. With a powerhouse cast, the film includes numerous celebrities such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Jonah Hill and Meryl Streep. There are also some notable cameos, and for Evans, many fans may even miss out, depending on how quickly the actor passes, along with how unrecognisable the role is. If you don’t want to know when and how he’ll appear, keep the following in mind: Revelation is ahead.
Don’t Look Up A satirical story about what happens when Earth faces an extinction-level event. Approximately 100 minutes into the film, there is a mock interview scene with fictional action movie star Devin Peters. The actor is promoting Armageddon-Like, a movie Complete DevastationInspired by the imminent threat of comets. When asked for an opinion on the “fetch move”, Peters refers to the pin he wears with an arrow pointing up and down so everyone can enjoy his “popcorn movie”. It prevents him from taking on a specific aspect. “As a country, we need to stop the bickering and virtue signalling and just get along.”
Many fans really enjoyed this cameo. In a short review from one fan, “Don’t Look Up was hilarious and depressing and unfortunately probably exactly what would happen also, Chris Evans had the funniest cameo.”

Some viewers who didn’t really like Don’t Look Up were still generally happy with Evans’ cameo. As one fan says, “I see what Don’t Look Up was trying to do, but didn’t quite hit the mark to make it a lasting impression. I do, however, live for Chris Evans cameos and think they should be more of a regular thing across all kinds of films.”

Some have even labelled Evans as the King of cameos based on his recent special appearance. With this new spot Don’t Look Up, Evans also had a surprise cameo in the Ryan Reynolds comedy Free Guy. Some fans say his part in the film was also a bright spot. Perhaps starring in these kinds of fun cameos could be what Evans would do in between big movies. Fans who want to see more can see him in a more substantive role. The Gray Man, an upcoming thriller from the Russo brothers, also voices Buzz Lightyear in the upcoming Toy Story spinoff Lightyear.
