Forever Skies: Far From Home got an exciting game idea out of its gates, although the Wroclaw-based studio takes the launch more cautiously.

The team’s members previously worked on Dying Light and Outriders, to name a few. Their action-survival game will first launch on Steam in early access this year, and only then can the team consider the console versions. The early access version provides 30 hours of gameplay at the moment, and it will feature “plenty of mechanics and activities to play within a vast world ready to be explored.” It will lack some features at launch. For instance, the four-player cooperative play will not be in, but the team promised to include the lacking options ASAP. The “retail” (1.0) version will launch roughly a year after the early access launch.

Here’s what Forever Skies’ Steam page says: “You will build and customize a high-tech airship. It will be your home, workshop, laboratory and more while flying above the surface of Earth. Control and steer it towards the ruins of our civilization and mysterious anomalies. Manage your airship hull and its integrity. Extract and gather resources to improve your airship and make it uniquely yours. Your scientific know-how will allow you to build and operate different machines. Analyze scanned items and reverse engineer lost technology. Research new ways of obtaining food and resources, discover new tools, and increase the chance of survival.

Explore and extract resources from the ruins built up high to escape the dust. Surrounded by drifting debris caused by a strange anomaly, harvest it into raw materials to help you survive. After descending below the dust, you will discover a strange new world, the planet’s surface that changed in our absence. Forever Skies is an action survival game on Earth, which was devastated by a global ecological disaster. This event caused the planet’s surface to be covered in a colossal layer of toxic dust. Forever Skies will launch in early access on Steam this year, and presumably, in 2023, the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series will also receive it.
