Tom Holland Would Like To Do A Live-Action Jak And Daxter Film

MOVIE NEWS – Uncharted star Tom Holland has named Jak and Daxter as the video game adaptation he’d like to star in next.

Tom Holland has set his sights on Jak and Daxter in the hopes of one day making a dark and “weird” live-action adaptation of the video game series. GameSpot recently asked Holland to name his dream video game adaptation that he’d like to star in next. The conversation was prompted by the fact that he is playing the role of Nathan Drake in Uncharted, which is due to hit cinemas in the next few days and is the first project of its kind in his career. The actor-gamer was quick to name Jak and Daxter, although he’d like to spice up the story a bit in the live-action version.

“I would like to make a Jak and Daxter movie, and I would play Jak.”

“But I would make it at A24, so it was really weird and like dark. I would do like a really weird, live-action version of Jak and Daxter.”

How Tom Holland exactly imagine such an adaptation is still a question, but it sounds promising. Developed by Naughty Dog, the first Jak and Daxter game, Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy was released in 2001 for PlayStation 2. The game follows Jak on a journey to find the Dark Eco sage, Gol Acheron, to help his friend Daxter, an ottsel (an otter-man hybrid), transform back into human form. The game was a success, and several sequels followed. In 2017, several games were bundled together for the Jak and Daxter Bundle re-release on PlayStation 4.

As for Tom Holland’s highly anticipated Uncharted movie, which promises to be spectacular and entertaining, it is set to be released on 18 February.
