“Let us do everything we can to support victims of war in Ukraine” – 11 bit studios

“We stand against the Russian invasion of Ukraine”, the studio’s words read. “Just words would be empty without meaningful act though, and the timing is crucial […] so for the next 7 days, all profits from This War of Mine will go to a special fund.”

“Let this message resonate with everything you know about this war and how wars kill people,” the studio continued. “Let us – players and developers together – do everything we can to support victims of war in Ukraine.”

In case you’re not familiar, This War of Mine is a survival game that embraces a realistic and raw war theme. Controlling a group of survivors, the player must fight for shelter, food and more, as the title reflects the dire situation of those trapped in the middle of the war.

11 bit studios is based in Poland, so the team is pretty close to the situation in Ukraine. This War of Mine was a massive success on PC and consoles, and the game was part of an educational system that taught students about “emotions, justice, the struggle between right and wrong, humanity and suffering.”
