Sucker Punch Developing New Infamous And Sly Cooper Games?

A relatively new industry insider and leaker who goes by the name AccountNGT on Twitter claims that Sucker Punch Productions is working on new Infamous and Sly Cooper games, presumably for PlayStation 5.

AccountNGT may be new on the scene, but he’s quickly making a name for himself for his accurate leaks. Among other things, they leaked Quantic Dream’s Star Wars project before it was announced, and they also leaked details about the upcoming BioShock that were confirmed by other known insiders. That said, this should be treated with caution, like other rumours.

What we know about the new Infamous and Sly Cooper games

This is not the first time we have heard that new Infamous and Sly Cooper games are in development. Last October, Twitter user KrowNinja claimed that Sucker Punch was working on a new Sly Cooper. This was later confirmed by known insider Shpeshal_Nick. Shpeshal_Nick, who has been pretty accurate in the past, made a specific mention of a new Infamous last year. Neither Sony nor Sucker Punch Productions have hinted at anything, but it’s not like them to give away projects in early development. Just yesterday we found job postings that a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima may be in the works, so if true, the studio is pretty much booked.

In the same Twitter thread in which AccountNGT claimed that the aforementioned games were in development, they added that Square Enix’s Forspoken also looks to be delayed.

Sony is rumoured to be preparing State of Play in March, but AccountNGT said the Russian-Ukrainian conflict could thwart the work.

In other news, Housemarque is working on a new IP, and PlayStation looks set to dominate the world console market for exclusive title releases in 2021.
