The Last Of Us Appears On PC In Two Games, Courtesy Of Fans [VIDEO]

One solution brings two Sony IPs together in an incredible way, while another option is more low-key but equally creative.

The first is a mod for God of War, also released for PC, where Joel and Ellie have replaced Kratos and Atreus, and “The Stranger” character has been replaced too (David from Naughty Dog), so the mod by OmegaFantasy has a pretty rough fight from the start. Since The Last of Us is not shy of brutality, the two IPs are not that hard to connect (although the Norse mythology in the Sony Interactive Entertainment/PlayStation Studios Santa Monica game would be a bit alien to the post-apocalyptic TLoU…).

Cory Barlog, the director of 2018’s God of War, noticed the mod: he shared the video on Twitter and thinks it’s brilliant. He liked it, and the mod’s creator responded: he hopes Barlog won’t be angry when he sees who the other characters have been replaced by. (In the case of the mighty serpentine Jörmungandr, we wonder who the replacement is… or is that too far-fetched an idea?) The idea isn’t bad either because The Last of Us Part I, the remake of the first part released in 2013 for PS3, is also coming to PlayStation 5 and PC…

But let’s talk about the other topic. The Saints Row reboot from Volition is coming soon. Still, the studio has already released Boss Factory, the character creator, so by the time the game is released, we’ll have a character to create the chaotic environment you’d expect from the franchise. A fan of The Last of Us, RandomGuyOnDaNet90, shared on Reddit how he recreated Joel using Boss Factory.

He got the character pretty accurate. A cut on the nose, a precise dark hair and beard, and maybe only the eyebrows look significantly different. The costume isn’t bad either: a green T-shirt with red stripes (admittedly not as worn as in Naughty Dog’s game)…
