Total War: Warhammer 3’s fourth and final faction leader has been revealed in a new trailer, showing off his mechanics and how he will build his empire.
First released in February 2022, Total War: Warhammer 3 has received a generally positive reception from fans and critics alike. However, there were problems with the game at launch. For example, many players ran into bugs that caused Total War: Warhammer 3 to crash in the middle of battles, which could prove incredibly frustrating, especially when working on completing one of the campaign’s many mission battles. Total War: Warhammer 3’s developer, Creative Assembly, set out to fix the problems experienced by players, and six months later, the game is believed to be DLC-ready.
Total War: Warhammer 3’s first DLC is the Champions of Chaos pack, bringing four new legendary lords to the game and their unique factions. The DLC first saw the light of day via a leak, with eagle-eyed fans spotting the factions in a video released by Creative Assembly. In the weeks after the leak, new videos were posted to Total War: Warhammer 3’s YouTube channel, giving fans a closer look at the new lords coming to the game.
The first of the new lords in Total War: Warhammer 3 is Azazel, the Chaos Demon Lord dedicated to Slaanesh. The last character to arrive in Total War: Warhammer 3 has been revealed. Valkia the Bloody Khorne, servant to the Warhammer war god Khorne. He carries a spear and shield made from the decapitated head of a demon prince, so it’s safe to say he won’t be packing on the big map in Total War: Warhammer 3.
As a servant of Khorne, Valkia’s mechanics in Total War: Warhammer 3 will mainly revolve around combat. However, it will differ from the game’s Exiles of Khorne faction, as its gameplay will focus more on the mortal servants of the Chaos Gods, evolving them from mere Marauders into true champions. Valkia’s trailer shows him flapping his demonic wings in melee combat.
The Champions of Chaos DLC will bring a new faction featuring characters dedicated to each of the Chaos Gods of Warhammer and will be released on August 23. That’s the exact date when all the Total War: Warhammer trilogy maps will be united in a massive campaign called Immortal Empires. Those looking to take on the gigantic new map and wreak havoc in the name of Chaos will probably want to pick up this DLC, as it also brings a whole host of new units to the Dark Gods roster.
