While many beautiful games have been released over the years, it’s hard to find one more visually stunning than Kena: Bridge of Spirits. Developed and published by Ember Lab, the game centres around a young spirit guide named Kena, who helps troubled souls move on to the spirit world. Although the game has been released for almost a year, the developers have not yet finished adding new content to continue to meet the needs of fans.

Recently, Ember Lab announced a new free update for Kena: Bridge of Spirits. While the developer has patched the game in the past to fix bugs and add new cosmetics, this upcoming update looks to bring the most content to the game since its release in September 2021. It’s being dubbed the Anniversary Update to celebrate the game’s first anniversary and has received an announcement trailer showing off several new cosmetics and new features coming to the game.

Among the announcement highlights, it was revealed that New Game+ is coming to Kena: Bridge of Spirits. With this new feature, players who complete the game can replay the adventure with everything they’ve unlocked in previous playthroughs. In addition, fans can participate in “redesigned and more challenging combat encounters”.

In addition to the addition of New Game+, the Anniversary Update also includes several other exciting additions. For example, the update adds new Charmstones that change how you play during combat. It also adds Spirit Guide Trials, a brand new gameplay mode that includes a variety of challenges. According to the developer, players can unlock new outfits for Kena and various Charmstones by completing Spirit Guide Trials. However, one of the most notable new outfits, called Shadow, has been revealed to be available exclusively for the Kena: Bridge of Spirits Deluxe Edition.

In addition to the news about the anniversary update, it was also revealed that Kena: Bridge of Spirits will also be coming to Steam. This is exciting news for PC gamers, as the game has only been available on PC through the Epic Games Store. The game will be released on Steam on September 27, the same day the Anniversary Update will be available.
