Considering the variety of adventures that Assassin’s Creed has presented so far, there have obviously been more fun, serious and sometimes even scary scenes in the series, but no specific horror game has been added yet. Here comes Assassin’s Creed Hexe…
It is possible, however, that Ubisoft will take the series in a new direction in the near future, and take it in a terrifying direction. A new Assassin’s Creed game called Codename Hexe has been announced, which will also be a full-fledged episode, and from the first teaser it’s easy to guess what it will be about.
Given the codename, the dark forest and the Assassin’s Creed logo of wooden blocks, there’s a good chance that Codename Hexe will be set in the dark days of Europe, or possibly colonial America, when witch hunts were carried out and many people were executed simply for being branded witches.
Assassin’s Creed will also be a very different type of mysterious, dark adventure from the previous instalments, which might even lead us to believe that we’ll be getting a more violent horror game instead of an open-world RPG.
