Thunderbolts: Director Of The Latest MCU Project Gave Us A Sneak Peek!

MOVIE NEWS – “There’s a lot of exciting work happening on this movie,” said the director of Thunderbolts.

Fans finally know who the Marvel Thunderbolts characters will be: a group of anti-heroes recruited by the government for special missions. Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Red Guardian (David Harbour), Task Master (Olga Kurylenko), John Walker/U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell) and Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) will make up the team, which is expected to be led by Pugh’s character.

Although the plot is being kept mostly under wraps, David Harbour and director Jake Schreier spoke to Entertainment Tonight and gave us a glimpse of what to expect.

According to Schreier, “I think you’ll see an incredible group of people who share a certain kind of past trauma, coming together, learning to work together in a way and overcoming some nondescript obstacles we can’t speak to.” How novel is that? No Marvel movie has ever been built on the same premise…

Despite the anticipation for the Thunderbolts movie, David Harbour reminds everyone that the film is a long way off. He told ET: “The audience isn’t ready. No, I mean, you guys are working hard. We’re pre-production; we haven’t started shooting yet. But there’s a lot of really exciting work happening on this movie.” He continues:

“I also think it’s like a unique MCU movie in the sense that you got a bunch of misfits and outcasts and losers and people that don’t really live up to the super in superhero.”

Fans will see how Schreier fares in his biggest directorial project to date, alongside Harbour’s second MCU appearance, when Thunderbolts arrives in cinemas on July 26, 2024.
