Has Ubisoft Already Set Assassin’s Creed: Mirage’s Release Date?

While Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, released two years ago as the opening title for the current-gen consoles, is about to receive its final update (which we’ve already discussed), the French publisher is focusing on its next game.

After several rumors, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage was announced at Ubisoft Forward in September, and Tom Henderson wrote about it on his website Insider Gaming. It was supposedly initially set for a much earlier release, which would have been in early 2023, but it has been delayed twice and is currently scheduled for release in August. Also worth mentioning: Assassin’s Creed: Red, an RPG set in feudal Japan, has had several problems in its development, so the 2024 release window might be pushed to 2025, while Assassin’s Creed: Hexe’s pre-production is progressing according to plans so that it might be available from 2026.

Here’s the French publisher’s overview for Assassin’s Creed: Mirage: “Discover a tightly crafted, narrative-driven action-adventure experience that follows the transformation of a defiant young man into a refined Master Assassin with a conflicted destiny. Meet an inspiring cast of characters – childhood friends, wise mentors, political leaders, and more – who will shape Basim’s future and may be more than what they seem.

Become the most versatile and resourceful Assassin in franchise history. Parkour seamlessly through the city and leverage the most extensive assortment of tools. Get contracts and upgrades at the Assassin’s bureaus, collect vital clues, and stealthily take down targets with more visceral assassinations than ever before.

Explore an incredibly dense and vibrant city whose inhabitants react to your every move. Uncover the secrets of four unique districts, from the industrial Karkh to the lush gardens of the Round City. Discover surprising world events and interact with historical figures that shaped the Golden Age of Baghdad. Experience a modern take on the iconic features and gameplay that have defined a franchise for 15 years. Journey to Alamut, the legendary home of the Assassins who laid the foundations of the Creed in this heartfelt homage to the game that started it all.”

Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is officially rumored to be coming in August 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and, knowing Ubisoft, Amazon Luna.
