Netflix Has Finally Figured Out How It Will Try To Block Password Sharing!

MOVIE NEWS – Fortunately, these changes don’t affect how many people can access Netflix simultaneously with the same account.

For a year now, Netflix has been trying to prevent users from sharing their accounts with others. Although the change is already being tested in some countries, there has been little word on the details. The platform has finally revealed how it will work.

Netflix has quietly updated the FAQ section on its website, clarifying that people living in other people’s homes “will need to use their own account” to access the platform.

The website also says that if the system detects devices in separate locations, it can “be blocked from watching Netflix.”

If it’s still unclear how the service provider restricts account password sharing, the company has developed a method that uses IP addresses, device IDs and account activity. This help determines whether the device logged into the account is also connected to the primary location.

When Netflix detects a new device logged into a primary account. Still, at a different location, it will issue a prompt asking for a temporary code, and this code will allow the user to log into that location for seven consecutive days. This is a rather strange idea. Fortunately, if you travel with your primary devices, such as a phone or laptop, using the service in different locations is not a problem. However, things get a bit interesting here. If you want to continue to have uninterrupted access to the platform, you’ll need to connect to Wi-Fi from your primary location at least once a month or every 31 days.

“To ensure uninterrupted access to the service, connect to the Wi-Fi at your primary location, open the app or website, and watch something at least once every 31 days. This creates a trusted device so you can watch Netflix, even when you’re away from your primary location.”

This creates a reliable device so you can stream even when you’re away from your primary location.

If you’re away from your primary location for an extended period, your device may be blocked from the service. You can request a temporary access code to resume watching.
