Tekken 8: Spectacular Gameplay Trailer Dedicated To Nina Williams’ Character! [VIDEO]

Tekken 8 has unveiled the return of Nina Williams, as well as a brief preview of the gameplay and the upcoming closed alpha test.

Bandai Namco revealed that Nina Williams would be joining the roster for Tekken 8. It was also revealed that a closed alpha test period would be held. This update was released at the recent Tekken World Tour 2022 Global Finals. Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada hinted at this back in December. He downplayed the possibility then, with the Tekken 8 marketing team calling it “crazy”. However, the e-sport tournament saw several announcements, including the unveiling of Nina Williams.

Nina Williams has been an iconic character in the Tekken franchise since her debut in the first game, working alongside her sister as an assassin; her cold and aloof personality makes her the perfect bodyguard and enforcer for the Mishima Zaibatsu organisation.

His popularity was such that he was given a spin-off title in 2005, Death by Degrees. Unsurprisingly, he will be a returning fighter in a brand-new outfit.

The trailer focuses on the gameplay style and shows off the destruction and heat mechanics of Tekken 8. Nina is able to counter or perform stylish grappling at the right moments. The trailer also showcases Rage Art’s special moves. After she manages to hit her opponent, she will perform a somersault and spray her opponent with her hand weapons before finishing them off with a powerful palm strike.

Alongside the unveiling, Bandai Namco announced that closed alpha tests would be held in selected locations worldwide.

These Tekken 8 tests will be held to gather feedback on the game’s combat and mechanics. This will be used to refine the gameplay further. The first one will take place at EVO Japan 2023, and players who want to try it out must register for the Tekken 7 tournament and sign up on a unique website that will open later this month. If there are a large number of applicants, the test participants will be selected by drawing.
