Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Pre-Orders Come With a Bizarre Bonus!

One of the most bizarre pre-order bonuses for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a spoon and a fork that are offered with the game by Amazon Japan. The utensils have the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom logo on them. Eating food is an important mechanic in the game, but it’s not clear why these were chosen as gifts.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of the most anticipated games for Nintendo Switch this year in May. The game is a sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild from 2017, which many consider to be one of the best video games ever. The game follows Link and Zelda on new adventures in Hyrule and its surroundings. The gameplay is similar to the previous installment, but with new features and possibilities.

On Amazon Japan’s website, it can be seen that anyone who pre-orders the standard edition of the game will get a spoon as a gift. Those who want to get the collector’s edition (which is already sold out) will also get a fork. Both utensils have the “Legend of Zelda” name and logo on them.

It’s not known exactly why Amazon Japan chose these as pre-order bonuses. Maybe they wanted to refer to the fact that Link has to eat in order to stay strong and heal in the game. Or maybe they just thought this idea was funny.

Fans outside Japan will unfortunately have to miss out on this bonus. Other countries offer different gifts with the game. For example, in America you get a wooden plaque from GameStop; in England you can get a commemorative coin and a luggage tag.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be released on May 12 exclusively for Nintendo Switch. The game promises to offer many surprises and excitement for fans. The spoon and fork bonus may be just a small sign of the creative and humorous ideas that we will encounter in the game.
