It tells us much about the French publisher’s most significant game this year.
While we’ve already heard rumors (from the same person responsible for the subject of this news…) that The Crew Motorfest and Assassin’s Creed: Mirage could be delayed, Ubisoft’s next significant game, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora (because Skull & Bones doesn’t look like it!) is slowly making its way towards the finish line. On Twitter, @ScriptLeaksR6 has posted more details about it, but it’s worded pretty much as it came from a press release. Therefore, it’s possible that Ubisoft either has material ready for the June Ubisoft Forward or may soon release a new video of the open-world action-adventure set in James Cameron’s world, with the media blurbs from the French publisher…
According to the leak, the RDA has kidnapped us, a Na’vi child, trained and molded us to serve their purpose, and then, we must reconnect with our ancestral heritage and join the other clans to find Pandora. As Na’vi, we must harness our strength and agility with a customized character. New equipment crafting hasn’t been left out either, and in the usual Ubisoft style, we can upgrade skills and weapons to suit our playstyle.
There are multiple fighting styles to master as you battle the dangers of Pandora. There will be traditional Na’vi weapons, including the bow and the spear thrower. These can be used to attack with precision. If those aren’t enough, our human training can also blast attackers in the face with more destructive weapons, such as a shotgun or an assault rifle. We can also soar through the air with our banshee. It’s a large, dragon-like winged predator that gives an advantage in aerial combat and can cover long distances. The wonders of the Western Frontier of war can be explored this way, and this area of Pandora has never been seen before. Always remember to stay alert.
Announced more than six years ago, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora runs on Ubisoft’s Massive Snowdrop engine, and according to the leaker, we can only play the game in first-person. The French publisher says the game will be available for pre-order soon for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
